Overview
Fort Sam Houston was established in 1876 and is located in the heart of San Antonio, Texas. It is one of the oldest and most storied Army installations in the United States, serving as the centerpiece of Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) — a tri-service installation that also includes Lackland Air Force Base and Randolph Air Force Base.
