Overview

Naval Station Mayport is located in Mayport, Florida, at the mouth of the St. Johns River on the Atlantic coast, approximately 20 miles east of downtown Jacksonville. The third-largest Navy base in the continental United States, Mayport homeports a significant number of Atlantic Fleet surface combatants including destroyers, frigates, and amphibious ships. Mayport Naval Air Station (now integrated as Fleet Readiness Center Southeast, FRCSE) historically provided carrier aviation support and continues to serve as a major fleet maintenance hub.
